Pretty in Pink

It has been scorching hot around here lately, and it doesn't look like it's going to let up any time soon. My hydrangeas aren't too happy about it, so I decided to pick some and bring them in. I usually have blue ones as well, but the winter took it to them. They have leaves, but no blooms this year. I'm just happy they came back at all.

I put them in this vase from my Etsy shop. Aren't they pretty?

Did you notice the little turtle? He's also in my shop here. I just think he's adorable.

A New Mirror

How was everyone's long weekend? Ours was lovely. We got together with several groups of friends, went to the zoo, and did lots of swimming.

I also picked out something from Joss & Main for the giveaway I won from Two Ellie. This mirror.

I'm so excited to get it. I have several places I could put it, although I'm a little nervous that it's going to be too big. My biggest decorating hurdle is deciding to go for something. With this I went completely off-character and totally went for it - without even pausing. I hope my instinct was right!
