Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween, Everyone!!  In the spirit of all that's spooky, check out these crazy bats that we saw at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  They were HUGE!!

I also wanted to show you guys the present that a good friend of mine gave my daughter.  This friend is crazy talented and the gift is super  nice.  Please excuse the quality of the pictures.

It's a hand-made Halloween doll house!!  I can't even imagine the amount of time she spent on this.  My daughter LOVES it!!  Here are some closer pictures.

The cemetery.

The dining room - complete with spell book!!

The bedroom!

Did you see the artwork?!

Love it!!  Here are some views of the outside.

What a lovely gift!!  I keep telling her that she needs to open an Etsy shop!!

Hope you guys have a great weekend!!

Etsy Shop of the Week: GeorgiaElizabeth

Hello!  How is everyone's week going?  Mine has been HECTIC!   Blogger is giving me fits!  It takes about 10 tries to get one picture added - anyone else having this trouble?  So now I'm really looking forward to this weekend with all the Halloween festivities!!  My daughter also gets her cast off tomorrow, which will be really nice.  She fractured her arm a month ago - poor little arm gets so itchy!!!

So for Etsy shop of the week I've chosen one of my favorites - GeorgiaElizabeth.  I won't lie - the shop owner is a good friend, and she is a great resource for gifts!!  First there are the tutu t-shirts which come in short and long sleeves.   They are so cute over jeans or leggings.  Whenever my daughter wears one everyone asks me where we got it!

Here is the personalized Christmas tree shirt - adorable!!

Her latest addition to the shop - check out these super fun pants!!

These crayon aprons are made with the cutest fabric!!

I bought two of the super hero capes for my nephews.

Go check out GeorgiaElizabeth.  Christmas is coming up fast!!!

Etsy Shop of the Week: adiandelliedesigns

Whew!  It has been one BUSY week!!  I've been completely neglecting the blog, and will have to again for a few more days after this post.  I didn't want to skip Etsy shop of the week though, so here you go!!

This week I've chosen adiandelliedesigns.  I chose them because of this scarf/necklace.

I bought this a couple weeks ago, and love it!  It goes with absolutely everything, and is an easy way to dress up something casual.

Here is another one in a great green color.

They also come in Persimmon and Cream.

The scarf is why I decided to feature this shop, but the majority of what they stock in their shop are these truly adorable baby hats.

What a cute little monkey!!!!  LOVE this!

How cute are those!?!  Such great gifts, and they are completely affordable.  Be sure to check out adiandelliedesigns

Celebrations

Hello All!  How was everyone's weekend?  Hope you were all able to enjoy some gorgeous Fall weather!!

My weekend was lovely!  I did some treasure hunting at a couple estate sales, had a nice relaxing birthday massage, and then celebrated turning 29 again with friends.  Very fun!!  We went to 5 Seasons Brewery.  Have you been there?

I love these guys for several reasons.  First, they source a lot of their food locally.  I'm a bit of a locavore and appreciate a good restaurant that puts the effort into buying from local farmers.  It doesn't hurt that it's all delicious!!

Second, they are generous.  Two years in a row they have donated a large prize for a fund raiser held for a friend of ours that is battling breast cancer.  That's very cool in my book.

Third, they have delicious beer and a relaxed atmosphere.  If you haven't checked them out, you should! There are 3 locations - Westside, the Prado in Sandy Springs, and Alpharetta.

I also had a nice surprise on Sunday.  Etsy featured one of my items in a Storque blog posts.  Here it is if you want to take a look - that's my brass bunny!  Although, not any more - some nice person in the UK bought it right away.   This was a seriously lovely birthday surprise for someone like me with a new shop. It's hard to get your name out there, and that was a huge help! I've also created a Facebook Fan Page for Kings Down Road if you guys want to check it out.  I'll be posting shop updates there.

Happy Monday to you all!!

My birthday is this weekend, and I'm really looking forward to celebrating with family and friends.  The weekend really couldn't have come any faster since someone (maybe aliens?) seems to have switched my perfectly lovely daughter for one who is at war with the world (or maybe just me!).  Oh well....

Today is the last day for the give away over at A Few Good Pieces so make sure you check it out!!
Have a wonderful weekend!!

Halloween Decorating

It's no real secret that I love Halloween.  I would really like to have an annual kids' costume party, but haven't been able to get it together both last year (pregnant) or this year (who knows why).  I've also been a bit slack about getting the decorations out this year, but did get a few out this weekend.  First some spiders for the porch.

Also some additions to my mantel.

You can find the silhouette picture here.
I found the owl this past weekend and it will be available in the shop soon.

I also found these cute marble owls - coming soon to the shop.

Now for my Halloween wish list.  I REALLY like these lace panels from Chasing Fireflies.  Maybe I can get them on sale after Halloween.

Aren't they fun?  They also have one with a witch and one with ghosts.

I've also always wanted to do this in my yard

Love these gusy!  Also from marthastewart.com

Our house is on a street that connects with several neighborhoods.  Our first year here I was so excited to greet ALL the trick or treaters that were going to descend upon our house.  Boy was I disappointed!!  I think we got about 5 kids at the house that year.  The past 2 years we've gone to a friend's house instead, and left a bowl of candy on our porch for our trick or treaters.  Last year I swear there was more candy in the bowl when we returned than when we left!!

Don't forget to go to A Few Good Pieces to enter the give away for a $50 credit in my Kings Down Road Etsy shop plus a $50 VISA gift card.  You can enter up to 3 times.  I've really enjoyed all the visits from A Few Good Pieces, and a huge WELCOME to my new followers!!  You don't know how much it means to me that you decided to join me!
